BuddhiBox November 2015 Review
EeeEee, it’s BuddhiBox unboxing day! New to BB? It’s catered to peeps who enjoy yoga, healthy living, and mindfulness. This subscription box is set up so that each month you’ll receive 4-6 thoughtfully curated products (samples and full sized items) from ethically-sourced and socially conscious companies. BuddhiBox also chooses a charity to donate proceeds to each month. This month, a portion of sales will go to support Exhale to Inhale, an organization that strives to empower women who have experienced intimate partner violence and sexual assault, to heal and reclaim their lives.
There are different subscription options that vary in price and get cheaper with duration, but the low commitment month-to-month option is $30.95/month. The sample size is $11.95/month. Btw, you can peep my past BuddhiBox reviews here.
This month’s goodie box, which I’ll delve into in just a bit, also came with a BuddhiBox info card with a inspirational Buddha quote on the back, a recipe for vegan Pumpkin Spice Cashew Cups (yummers!!), and an instructional card for Scale Pose (love saving these!)… so many cute lil’ extras!
November’s BuddhiBox included:
Sandalwood Lavender Geranium Mat Mist ($12.50 value) – This antimicrobial mat spray has aromatherapeutic benefits, too. It has a gorgeous blend of sandalwood, lavender, and geranium that I seriously cannot stop sniffing. It’s intended for sanitizing yoga mats while uplifting your mood, but I’m going to mist this everywhere, including my body – it smells PHENOM.
Vapur Reusable Water Pouch ($10 value) – When I saw this, I was like, Reese Witherspoon’s character probably used these in the movie Wild. It seems like the perfect hiking necessity so you don’t have to lug excess weight around. These stand upright when full and flatten and roll up when they’re empty. Pretty genius!
Born Skin Care’s Source for Muscles ($10 value) – This remedy for muscle aches and pains is made with organic eucalyptus oil and muscadine oil and is enhanced with grapessed oil. I don’t have any sore muscles to try this out on yet (sedentary much?), but I did use a little bit on my arm…it smells very much like Vick’s Vapor Rub (in a good way), and it cleared up my sinuses like whoa!
Natural Perfume by Stinky Yogi* ($30 value) – Ha, love their name! The info card in this box didn’t specify which scent this is but OMG, it’s all kinds of YESSSSSness!! I think I smell vanilla and citrus but honestly, I have no idea. All I know is that my nose holes are very happy right night. I could sniff stuff all day.
Mantra Download Card and Wish Bracelet from Speak Like a Yogi ($32 value) – This card is for a download of Speak Like A Yogi, a language program designed to teach basic Sanskrit pronunciation techniques for yoga poses and terminology. I wish I had the time to dive into these types of fun downloads but I’m drowning in to-dos. One of these days, though, Imma check it out. Lovin’ the cute lil’ tie-dye cloth wish bracelet it comes with. 🙂
Overall impression: This box is valued over $94, which is kind of insane! Last month’s BuddhiBox was was pretty hard to top, though (’twas my fave). All of the items will definitely get used, but I’m especially feelin’ the perfume and mat mist (which I’ll be rockin’ as a perfume, too).
I highly recommend giving BuddhiBox a try – quality mindful products, amazing value. It would make a great gift for a friend, loved one, or yourself!
Do you think you’ll try BuddhiBox? What’s your favorite vegan and cruelty-free subscription box?
